• Population: Exact number is unknown. Estimation was 2.89 million bees in 2017. Each hive can have an estimated number of 80,000 bees.

• Habitat: Tropical & forest areas. Preferred areas are gardens, woodlands, and meadows.

• Threats: Pesticides, climate change, and diseases.
